BPC eggs causes fungus?

I bought two Blood Parrot Cichlids on a whim a few months ago and since I've had them they are laying eggs every few weeks. A friend told me that the eggs could cause a bad fungus and disease the aquarium. Does anyone know if this is true? Since she told me this, I have been vacuuming up the eggs and discarding them. It is getting a little annoying doing this all the time. I can't find enough information on these fish. I have contacted the pet store where I bought them and they really don't have a clue as to what I'm asking. Can anyone help? I absolutely love these fish but if I constantly have to worry about fungus and disease it might change from love to bye bye.

Most cichlid keepers do weekly tank maintenance on their tanks, which includes water changes and vacuuming.

Eggs that aren't fertilized can grow fungus on them. The parents will sometimes eat them before they reach that stage, though.

If you have good filtration on the tank and good tank maintenance habits, then it shouldn't be a problem at all.

It sounds like you're only doing tank maintenance every few weeks when you siphon out the eggs?
