So I have a spare 38 gallon sitting around that I planned on doing another SA or CA setup, but the problem is I have hard water and having a 55 gallon SA is becoming a PITA. Basically the PH of my water with me doing -nothing- to it, without adding -anything- which that includes crush coral is 8.2. So it's perfect water for African Cichlids but not so great for for a SA/CA setup, of which I am battling getting softer water for my SA setup and want to go the easy route again.

Anyways, point is, how many Demasoni should I add/order? I know 12 is the magic number but should I calculate some loss in there and get 15 or so? Also how many labs would you put with these guys in a 38 Gallon? I just want to get some flash of yellow against the dark blue/black.

15 demasoni would be great, and a trio of Yellow labs, maybe 4...

What are the dimensions on the tank? (5-6 Yellow labs would be really nice, if you have the space...)

And add some driftwood to that SA tank to help with your ph!

I have two large pieces of driftwood in my SA tank and it's the same PH as my mbuna tank...my mbuna tank having Eco-Complete African Cichlid sand substrate which is suppose to raise the PH!

I just don't get it...I have a thread on the general section Kim with more info if you want to read up and see if you know what's going on with my SA tank.

Dimensions for the 38 Gallon is as follows: 36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 19 3/4

I was going to ask other MAS members if they had any Demansi, I know Ken had some yellow lab fry...they seem to be easy to find.

If I do have to order online maybe we can can order our fish together to save on shipping :thumb:

I'm located in Mound btw.
