I just went and got 3 demasoni and 3 yellow labs today at out lfs. Didnt notice until I got home that one of the labs side fins are stringy and looks like part of the tail is nipped off. He was stored in a "community Cichlid" tank with many different types in there. (All African at least) The fish is still seeming to be swimming fine and isn't clamping his fine at his sides or anything. Do you think that he was just an aggression victim and stressed from being shipped to the store? (said he just came in yesterday)

Should I be treating with anything or just let him be to heal up on his own? I do have Melafix, and some general cure from api, along with this Herbtana stuff. Thanks in advance

Sounds like he got picked on, and now that he's been moved again, you should be watching for signs of infection. Keep the water clean, lights low, and perhaps some melafix wouldn't hurt while he gets adjusted to the new tank.

Good luck!
