I have a yellow lab that I just stripped last night. She spit 13 babies. They are all ok but I can still see the egg sacks. I have 2 question:

Did I strip the female too early, will they be ok?

When should I begin to feed them? I have baby brine shrimp they can eat.

I normally don't strip females....

I let let them spit...

But by what I do know is that they can feed off their egg sack until its gone...

after that, crumbled flake food or BBS will be fine.

As long as they are free swimming they should be fine.

They are swimming around freely. I see little fins, eyes, and egg sacks. thanks for the replies

She had babies in her mouth a few times already and every time she would swallow them after a while. That is why I chose to strip her this time.

I'll try to get them up this weekend. Right now they are in a net, so they may be very hard to see. I'm gonna go out Saturday and get a little 8 gallon tank to put them in
