Two days ago i started to treat my 55 gallon with melafix because one of my fish had a cloudy eye, it has since gotten better but i just noticed that one of my yellow labs has a clear blobby growth on one of its eyes, he is eating and swimming around just fine. Water parameters are as follows:

ammonia-0ppm
nitrites-0ppm
nitrates-30ppm
pH-8.2
temp-76

as stated its a cycled 55 gallon with 19 mbuna and a synodontis cat, they were just stocked on friday
i feed them new life spectrum pellets 1mm sinking pellets

what is it and what should i do??

The best thing for your fish is clean water. I strongly suggest a few days of large water changes (50% or more) to get your nitrates below 15 ppm.

Since these are newly stocked fish, I'd avoid medicating with anything else. They are stressed from handling and the transition, and need time to acclimate to their new surroundings. Hopefully the eye will heal on its own.

I would agree with triscuit; clean water is the key to successful fish keeping. A water change should be done before any treatment.
