I had a big problem with one of my yellow labs about two months ago. He had fallen ill or something and was getting beat up badly in the main tank (55g). Near death, I moved him to a 10g that I had some danio's in. 2 of them died after I put the near death Lab in there. He didn't eat for almost a week, stayed in the corner, and basically looked like he was going to die the entire time. Here's a pic of him a few days after being in the 10g.

You can see how he has barely any color on his body.

Fast forward to today. I decided I'm going to put him back in the 55. He is skittish, but almost immediately he colored back up, say half hour. This is what he looks like now.

Would this be considered typical? Coloring back up?

Trouble is, if he was beaten up before what have you changed to prevent it from happening again..?

Keep him out of the problem tank.

I dont like the way his eyes look or is it just me.
And I also agree with keeping him out of the problem tank.

He was just lost in the little tank, swimming up and down the glass. Granted he's hiding more now, but he's always hid in this tank.

Some rusties 5 maybe, 5 cobalt blue, 2 yellow tail acei, one demasoni, one other yellow lab, an OB and a BN pleco.

The tank is tough as I have two alpha cobalts in there that try and dominate the tank and each other.
