In my XP3, when I prime it, the water doesn't fill up to the TOP of the canister, only just slightly above the impeller. I like to have it to the top, so I manually unclip two clips and let the water rise. I just noticed today (after doing this on Sunday) that the water is back down to where it started. Why did this happen?

I have this same issue. I would be curious as well what a fix might be. Other than that, I love my XP3. No other problems whatsoever.

Edit: My water level doesn't go back down, though. I do have to unclip to get the water to prime all the way.

How long have you had the XP3 set up? I just had the same problem the other day, and I wasn't getting the maximum outflow (I know this because I have another XP3 in the same tank to compare this to). What I figured out was that my connection with the tubes were not completely airtight anymore. So what I did was grab my pliers and re-pinch all those little black clips that attach the plastic hoses to the parts (you will hear the clicks on the notches when you do it, there are 4 on each unit). What I discovered is that after several months is that things need to be tightened up once again. Since then everything has been back to normal working fine :thumb:
