I got a 55g tank going, and looking pretty good. I have plans on adding my older pair of Haplochromis sp. "ruby" to the tank, but first I am wanting to grab about four 1.5" rubies, and add them to the tank first so they have a chance to growout a little bit. My issue is I am thinking of grabbing atleast three Synodontis lucipinnis (which are also about a inch long) and add to the tank, but I am wanting to ask on here what is the risk of the synos eating the rubies since they are still young?

Btw here is a picture of the tank.

I still got to add plants, but besides that it is pretty much done.

IME Synodontis eat newborn fry but will not eat a 1.5" fish.
