ok, so i've already posted about my comps and they are too small to breed....... so im now worried...... my female went in her shell and hasnt been out to eat in 2 days, i dont think she's stuck cos her tail comes out a little sometimes..... but today i cant see her at all... the male regularly leaves his cave and goes to the shell sticks his head in then comes out and proceeds to try and kill anything on that side of the tank ? well i guess my real question is how long before i should be worried if she's stuck? i dont really wanna break the shell?!?!?! how long basically before i break it? arrrghhh i dunno what to do? (about the shell) hehe

I wouldn't worry. If she can back out enough that you can see her tail, she is not stuck. My female comp disappeared for about 4 day at one point. I was just to the point of trying to remove her when I came downstairs and there was a swarm of fry. My male had also been "checking on things" and defending the shell.

What size are yours? Mine bred for the first time when the male was just 2 inches and females a bit smaller.
