I just ordered some wc topheus ilangi. I got 3 males 10 females and plan to put them in a 6 foot 135. Will I get plenty of spawns?

That is a decent ratio, but, there are way too many variables to predict the reproductive capacity of a colony. I am looking forward to hearing how you make out with them.

The ratio sounds fine but the numbers seem rather low for a six foot 135g to me.

All the best James

The tank is strictly for breeding. Im hoping there's not too much aggression. I added another female last night so that makes 11 females and 3 males. That's all I can afford right now so we will see what happens. Worst case senario ill just have to get some more after I get my tax return.

Hi,

The ratio is fine! I have 14 WC with 3 males and 10 females. Not yet breeding but the colony is fine and stable.

Cheers,
Diogo
