After getting to (hopefully) the end of fighting with an acidy 55G tank, which will hopefully be gotten under control with some sea-chem neutral regulator product to increase kH and improve pH buffering, I hope to get my juripari (and a few more) back from my LFS. Presently there is the typical blond course gravel in the tank...I wonder if a darker substrate might encourage the tank residents to darken up their colors also. (like the gorgeous turquoise colors on this guy, notice the substrate color:
