I have a pregnant cynotilapia afra cobue.The male is not looking to be in full mating color.Is it because he is a rather small fish?Could it be that another spieces have cross bread?There are not any other cynotilapia afra's in the tank.I have kenyi and ice blue with them.Please give me your opinion.thanks jason

Also is it ok to put too pregnant females in the same 10 gall?One is an ice blue and the other is the afra cobue

What is/are the dominating males in the tank? The dominants are the ones that probably do all the spawning. You can keep two females together - as long as they aren't beatin on each other. I've got two females I can't keep together while they are holding - the one beats the other one pretty bad.

Thanks.I was to the understanding that they wouldn't cross breed if they are not the same.

They'll cross. Just about any mbuna will cross if "necessary"

Ok then I will soon have 1 batch of metriaclima greshakei.And 1 batch of greshakei/afra edwardi cobeu.Any one interested in these fry?

I suggest stripping and/or culling the hybrid fry. They are bad for the hobby and nobody is going to want them. Distributing the hybrid fry is unethical in my book.
