I set up an oscar tank and got a regular tiger, but then I saw this guy and I just had to get him. I have never seen a baby oscar like this one. Is this a natural strain that you would find in the wild? He is white and black instead of red and black, and in the right light he has a slight blue sheen on his rear sides. Whatever he is I think he is awesome looking. Looks like if I want to keep them both I am going to have to get a bigger tank sooner than planned.

I've actually seen these sold at my LFS too, from what I was told it was a natural strain but they don't grow up to be completely silver...

TFG will have the surefire answer for you :thumb:

I would almost promise that the red will come out over time. I have a "red" that looks very similar black with what would appear silvery white. had him since dec. 3 and he's showing more and more red everyday

time will tell :)

Hmmm interesting, so he will likely get more red as he gets older? Well I love him either way, it would be cool if he stayed white though.
