I am going to put one of these(if I can get one) in with my JD and was wondering which one would be best:

Any tips or suggestions for doing this successfully?

I really like the Blue Sifter and prefer it over the others as long as it would be compatible with the JD.

Tank size 55G. GH 180, KH 40, Ph 7.0, temp. around 75F

p.s. my JD is a male and is not very aggressive.

If I got a female, it shouldn't get as big, right? Couldn't a male JD defend itself from a female blue sifter?

Robertsoni and JD are to similar to put together in tight quarters. Robertsoni tend to not like their own kind and it will mistake the JD as it's own kind... Then it will end badly. Besides that fact how do you plan to sex them?

Robertsoni are not aggressive, atleast the ones I've had, but they did not like each other that's for sure.

I'd ask you, of course

That's too bad that they won't work.

I'll see if I can get Amphilophus alfari.
