Poor girl can barely keep her mouth shut it's so full! It's my first time having fish spawn, tho it was unintentional. It's been 17 days since we noticed her 'bulge'. I can't seem to pull myself away from the tank! I'm letting nature take it's course, as the babes will be hybrids, but am dreading a potential feeding frenzy. Ugh. Should be an interesting weekend

Usually they end up holding for about 30 days on there own. Sometimes less, sometimes more, it all depends on how comfortable she is in the tank (ie. tankmates, hiding spots, etc....)

But she must be starving by now...!

Fortunately the boys are pretty much leaving her alone. My shy frontosa spends a fair amount of time hanging out by her side (maybe waiting for a snack?)
