Injuries are one sign...especially if one fish sustains more than one before he can heal. But mostly it is where the fish spends his much is outside the group? 50%? 25%? 75%?

If the fish is choosing a "bad" spot to hang out (lurking near heaters or filter intakes or under the surface) fairly often then he is being harassed and his immune system is suffering. It should take more than 1.5 days, but if they were just added to the tank (less than a month ago) they are at risk anyway.

All male tanks can take a lot of tinkering for the first 2 years.

I would add more fish. The Empress is too large for the tank, as is the Taiwan reef. I am surprised the german red is alpha unless he is a hybrid. I am not surprised the blue neon is submissive, I would also watch the Sulphur head and the mloto.
