It seems recently that it keeps moving his fake plants. I come home and most of them are floating, and it has dug out a spot where it removed the plants. Whats goin on here??

It's what they do. They dig, and rearrange their tank to their liking. You can't stop him unless you keep him in an empty tank (bare bottom, no decor).

I got the plants that have the gravel attached on the bottom. They can move them around but the don't float. Mine moves his plants around all the time.

I would guess your fish has hit puberty and is being a rowdy teenager...

I use plants with a ceramic base, they work great because the cichlids can drag them around and they just stay where they drop them.

Well these are unique little things.. thanks for the info, ITS like my wife, it keeps moving things, and i keep putting them back until i realize all my effort is gettin me no where :x

its digging a spawning pit, hes hopeful i guess , mine did it to.
