I'm setting up my 75g for a tang community. I plan on a pretty basic mix. Some cyps, shellies, couple calvus and a couple oddballs. I know that the shellies are going to limit a few thing. I know tropheus and featherfins, and xenos are out but are there anything I'm missing. To help I'm probably going with occies. I'm kind of interested a a julie or leleupi.

I know the advice I received for my 72" tank was Juli's OK (especially small ones) and Leleupi's are a no-no. FWIW.

For a 75 gallon, you've got lots of options. :thumb:

For best chances of success, avoid:
  • leleupi and large julies (regani, marlieri), but smaller julies are fine (transcriptus, eg)
    tropheus
    trets
    other shellies
    frontosa
    brichardi complex

Of course, some of these fish above don't play well with anything else in the tank.

Good choices:
Gobies
Calvus
Cyps
Paracyps
Small julies
