Hi All

I have recently purchased a adult group of Duboisi which are anthing from easily 3.5" to 5" in size. The group consists of 7 males and 8 females as far as i can tell with the experience i have !!

The answer i want to know is they have been trying to breed every day pretty much ever since i got them 3/4 weeks ago. When they start to breed the male keeps getting interupted and chasing away other fish and so far have had no females holding yet? Do you think it would be best to take out a couple of the males or just leave them as they are? I only have 15 in the group and dont want to make it too small??

Thanks Wes

No there are no issues with aggression :D and this morning i got up and i found 1 female holding and i'm sure another is too :thumb: I've kept and had cichlids breeding for years but never had tropheus breed before and i'm well excited about these holding :)

thanks again
Hi Geoff

I would say that 4 are close to 4-5" and the other 10 are 3.5-4". They are currently in a 4ft tank and seem to be happy it was just i noticed they was getting interupted alot :D . I have a rock pile at each end and space in the middle for them to swim and feed :thumb: . This group of tropheus seem to shoal about all together alot whenever i walk about in the room :-? looks fantastic but dont know why they do it??

Regards

Ricky
