I'll be the first to say "no mbuna" as those ******** a little to antsy for the skittish Fronts. I have Clown loaches with mine. They like to be in groups of 3 or more (i have 5 with mine in a 180) plus theyll eat whatever the fronts don't

Are you willing to mix lakes?
Are you willing to add new worlds instead of Africans?
How about other tropical fish not native to Africa?

let us know your requirements then we can go from there.

Most fish will be aggressive towards the very passive frontosa.
Some will become meals for frontosa.

So there is a limited amount of appropriate fish.

If ur a front lover or have alittle knowledge on how fronts function u wont add fish from other lakes or some fish which makes front stressfull, they need their own tank where they can dominate with few smaller tankmates from natural lake i.e. altos, cyps, leleupis or such not some agresive big ones from other lakes, i kno it can function but trust me fronts wont feel right and natural, so basicly ill advise u to check Tanganyika fishes and try to find some nice ones from there, i would exlude tropheuses also cause they are to fast and to nervous for them....

cheers
