hey does anyone know why my fish anal hole gotten bigger and red? all i know that acei anus are never really this big and red? i am thinking it is an early indicator of bloat. the fish is still swimming and eatting. maybe it is a parasites? or worms? i have in a seperated tank right now. i do waterchanges once a week. temperature 78. the acei is swimming and is eatting normaly.
i m treating it with NLS soke in Metro. all the other fish in my 60gallon are all active and are eating (this one is too) but they dont have big red anus.

i also think it is a breeding tube. but like i said my first time expericing mbunas. is this a vent? before i got it out...i notice some other acei were shaking their heads at eachother..but i am not 100 percent sure it waas this one who was involved.

does white poop is a bad thing? someone told me they are dead parasites and someone else told me not to worry about it...so i dont know what to believe in.

Looks like her egg tube was distended from breeding. I wouldn't worry about it. Keep an eye on her, she might be holding.

Definitely looks like she very recently laid eggs. If she is not actually holding, she may hav e either eaten them already or someone else interupted the spawn and ate them before she could pick them up. It should go down in a few days.
