Do I need to do something about my GH? If so, what? The numbers have been consistant each time I test the water.

Nitrates - 5 ppm
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - <0.3
pH - 8.5
GH - 5
KH - 16

It's a 90 gallon tank that has been populated for two months. It cycled for a little over two months prior to the cichlids being added. I do two water changes per week. One is just water, the other is a syphoning of the bottom and a water change.

My fish are juveniles:
Pseudotropheus Acei Luwala (3)
Otopharynx lithobates
Daffodil Brichardi (had 2 but one just died :( )
Promotelas(Haplochromis?) Red Empress
Neolamprologus Leleupi Lemon (2)
Aulonocara gertrudae
Aulonocara Red Dragon Peacock
S. Multipunctatus (3)
Labidochromis Caeruleus
OB Peacock
Clown Pleco

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it. I am into consistent water parameters, and excellent water quality. Providing the exact parameters a fish might find in its natural environment is not important in my opinion.

Glad to hear that! Everyone seems happy and healthy in the tank....lots of activity, some spunkiness and they're beginning to show nice colors.

Thanks for the response.
