Hi - I have a 4 year old male venustus, approx. 10" in a 180 gallon tank with other haps and peacocks.
He comes to surface to eat but in general his steady state is angled upwards - somewhere between horizontal and vertical with tail near bottom or touching bottom of tank. He doesn't glide through the tank like the other fish - he can swim horizontally if he needs to but eventually returns to this described position.
I had this happen with a peacock about a year ago. Eventually that peacock went completely vertical while swimming.
Any sense as to what is causing this and what I can do? It's possible he got stressed by another male in the tank which I have since removed. I have an entire cabinet full of fish meds, quarantine tanks available, etc.
Thanks in advance.
