My initial reaction would be female based on the fin and lack of blue in the face at this size. I have had 4 males over the years and only one didn't have a shimmer of blue in the face, so there is still a chance however.

There's been an interesting turn of events with the Venustus. I had rehomed it to my quarantine tank a week ago since I was almost certain it was a female - I saw it doing the mating dance with an adult OB peacock male more than once.

Anyhow, the fish suddenly started showing blue on the face and it's coloration in general started to change quite rapidly over the last 2 days. P

Quite sure this is a male now and I just moved it back to my 90G. The picture is from the quarantine tank.
