I have 5 Compressiceps and 3 Julies in a tank, and I want to vary the diet a bit. They have been eating NLS and have been loving it, but I want them to have a balanced diet

What do people recommend feeding besides NLS, and at what frequency? Do I feed them NLS 5 days, then a day of brine shrimp, then a day of veggie matter? I guess I really don't know.
