Hi, I was at the LFS today and saw some fish labeled Variabilichromis moorii. They were black in color with a blue edge along their dorsal and tail fins. Very attractive looking fish! I have a thing for black fish. I was wondering if any one had any experience with these guys? They are about 4 inches in length and I could not determine sex just by looking at them. Now I have to try to find some space for some.

Thanks
Tony

I have one in my 90g and I like him a lot. Not a particularly aggressive fish, but won't take any trash either. Kinda wish I had a lady friend for him , but they're nearly impossible to sex without venting and with my brichardis libido in high gear these days I've got all the baby fish I can handle at the moment. Still a great addition to a tang tank though . I think they can get around 6" or so and care and tank mate choices are similar to Brichardis . A really cool and different looking fish IMO.
