I had an old hose I used to clean one of my old aquariums but it was long and apparently had white stuff on it. I first ran it through very hot water for a couple hours, then I told my parents to put just a little Clorox. Apparently, they drained the water and put concentrated Clorox in the whole tube and left it for a day (I thought it was a water and light Clorox solution: WRONG). So I ran it through very hot water again to rinse out the Clorox but the tube inside smells like Clorox but the water drained through it does not. If I just rinse it with hot water and add LOTS of de-chlorinator, will that be safe for my fish?
ALSO, is there a way I can test if it is safe with a Water Test Kit somehow? Thanks
