What are the dimensions of your tank? Is your fish Labeotropheus fuelleborni OB or something else? Do you have more fish than these 4 individuals in the tank?
It is not unusual for a male to spawn only with one female.
If your fish are Labeotropheus, I like 7 or more females per male.
