i am looking to purchase this cichlid from a trade in at a store. was told it is a tropheus.

can anyone be more specific? i want to research it first to know what i am getting into.

I know it's a duboisi variant, but which I'm not sure. Pretty common, though.

Nice wide band but hesitate to guess at variant as I think some TB and farm bred hobby ones are prob mixed variant and are selectively bred to have wide bands.
Looks male to me (As many single pickups are). Though vent to be sure.
