Can anyone who keeps these guys or similar variants post pics of setups and experiences. I've been keeping Malawis for about 7 years and have wanted to try my hand at these guys. I've read the profiles section but would like to see and hear what the different experiences have been. Thanks........set up pics and ratios please.

If u havent kept tropheus before i wouldnt recommend these guys
Brichardi are very aggressive and should be kept in big numbers
Moorii species are much easier to keep

brichardi need to be kept in larger groups with a minimal amount of males possible.

I have a Ujiji group, and a Mpimbwe Red Cheek. A number of my friends have kept Ulwile, Kipili, Kabimba, and Malagarazi with lots of success.

I would suggest getting a ratio of minmal 1M/5F or 1M/7F and get a goupe of atleast 20 to 30 fish. The more the better, 25 would be good starting.

I would get a 125 gallon aquarium, or atleast the smallest 6ft tank you could get. Provide plenty of filtration, and lots of rock work.

The brichardi do best with more rock cover and a more subdued lighting. It realy brings out nicely their blue eyes, and yellow coloring.
