I have a 125 gallon set up 2 months running with a fluval fx5 as my only means of filtration. I am happy with the job the pump is doing, but I wonder as I have a tendancy to stock on the heavy side what I can add to the tank to keep the water clear and healthy. I think circulation could be improved also.

Please remember in your suggestions that I work for a living...

Eheim powerline 2252 would be my weapon of choice! Circulates water effectively even when nearly clogged up and other filters fail. 1200 liters per hour (approx. 317 USG/h) promised and in my experience that's the minimum output (not adjustable). :thumb:

supplement what you have with a diy sump/wet-dry. They are the most effective and quite affordable ($20 + cost of pump).
