You need the right m/f sexually mature ratio, right diet, right chemistry, good/great water quality, good place for breeding to occur (depending on the fish)... ya know, nothing out of the ordinary... Oh, and patience helps. Not sure their is a love potion #9, but a solid water change can spark it sometimes.
thanks for the info. I have been doing all of the above n i have a lot of dancing but no luck yet.... i have a totall of 10 cichlids in my sixty gallon hex. and i also have three leopards n two jewels in my thirty gallon. I think my biggest problem is messing with the tanks too much n not enough females.. besides that i think im good. I also think i might take some of my males back to whites n trade them out for some good females but its super hard for me to find any females or tell the difference.
