55 gallon with 4 Iodotropheus sprengerae, 4 synodontis. Would like to add the following peacocks: They additions will be about the same size as the 4 current mbuna. Will this work? Is this too many fish for the tank or too little or just right? Thanks all.

1. Aulonocara maulana
2. Lwanda
3. Aulonocara stuartgranti (Ngara)
4. Aulonocara (Rubescens)
5. Aulonocara maylandi
6. Firefish (which I believe is a hybrid)

I'd skip the firefish and the lwanda in a 55G.

The maylandi may be too timid to color up in an all-male tank...especially with rusties.

What about a yellow peacock like maleri and a blue hap like Placidochromis electra?

Thanks for your response. I would have to see what my LFS has but will hopefully be able to swap out the firefish and lwanda. Did you suggest removing them because of aggression or size?

Both can be too large and aggressive for a 55G. Plus the other fish you have tend to be timid.
