hey guys I got a 180 galon going and filled it with malawis, i took special care to group peacefull cichlids make for an easy malawi tank, I over stocked young to be able to weed out what I want and dont want out of each group ( I wanna end up with - smaller fish 2 male 4 female, larger 1 male 2 female) what I have is:

RED FIN BORLEYI COPADICHROMIS BORLEYI "KADANGO" - DOMESTIC
THE SLY FOX FOSSOROCHROMIS ROSTRATUS - F1
ALBINO BUSHYNOSE PLECO ANCISTRUS SP. - DOMESTIC
FLAVESCENT PEACOCKS AULONOCARA STUARTGRANTI "HAI REEF" - F1
ELECTRIC YELLOWS LABIDOCHROMIS CAERULEUS - DOMESTIC
YELLOW BLAZE LITHOBATES OTOPHARYNX LITHOBATES "ZIMBABWAE ROCKS" - DOMESTIC
LILULI SPILONOTUS - PROTOMELAS SP. SPILONOTUS TANZANIA"LILULI" - F1

I woould like to add some:

ALBINO SOCOLOFI PSEUDOTROPHEUS SOCOLOFI

asi really like the elegant pure white colour they would add to the mix, but they are mildly aggressive, as opposed to the peacefull nature of the rest.....

would this cause probems? I dont want my peacocks to loose colour, stopbreeding etc.

whats ur opinion?

thanks

How long is the 180G?

I found socolofi very aggressive in my 72" tank and I've never had luck with trios...even among labs. Quads barely work for me. I like 1m:4f as a ratio.
agree. 1m:4f is the way to go. of all the trios that i had, it was only a matter of time before both females got beat on.
