Thinking about redoing the tank as an all male setup.

Dimensions 80 gallon bow, 48 x 12 at sides, 16 in middle, essentially the same as a 55 gallon, but 24 inches high.

the below species is what I have now, but im looking to get rid of some.

OB metriclima estherae
Metricliima calainos
Psuedotropheus crabro
Acei
demasoni
Red empress
OB peacock
OB fuelleborni

what species would you remove and what would you add to make an all male setup for my setup?

I would decide mbuna or peacock/hap but not both. And the empress is too big for the tank.

Once you have a direction it's easier to go from there.

Im 100 percent mbuna, but im interested in what hap/peacock mixes i can do
really, the only mbuna you can mix with peacock/haps are Labidochromis Caeruleus, iodotropheus sprengeri and pseudotropheous aceii. will be more difficult with other species of mbuna.

You can do all-male for either as long as you choose one male per species (and even genus would be good) and no two look alike. Shoot for 8-10 fish. No rabid piscivores and nothing that matures more than 6".

an all male mbuna in a 4 foot tank is risky...you have to be VERY careful with the species that you choose. like DJ said, aim for 1 fish per genus.
