I see these three letters 'LAC' behing the fish name in my LFS. For example, Tanganicodus irsacae NyanZA LAC. I don't think it is a location of the Lake. Anyone knows the meaning of it ? TKS.

btw... If you take a look in our Library (look up, many great articles in there), you will find a section that includes maps of the Lakes.

If you click on the Tanganyikan Map you will be able to select Nyanza Lac, and it will show you exactly where it is.

TKs Fogelhund , i looked up in GOOGLE and find this :Nyanza Lac is a city in southern Burundi. It is located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, to the south of Mutambara and close to the border with Tanzania. ...Fogelhund said:

I have seen this location popping up on some imports starting about a year ago. I had some Petrochromis famula from that location.
One thing to keep in mind, collection points are not always accurately recorded, and some are not even located on the lake. There was a "new" 7-strip front from Boulomboro, but my understanding is that this "collection point" is actually several miles inland at a military base.
