I have a juvenile Texas cichlid in a grow-out tank (20 gallon long) before moving into its forever home in a few months.
I've dotted the tank with thick planted areas on the sides, rock cover and a few cave areas. The fish is extremely active and kept by itself. Very interactive with me outside the tank. Is there too much in here, not enough or do you think this is just right for a grow out home?

I'm trying to give a young fish the feeling of safety but not clog up too much open swimming space. I've also dimmed the lights to mimic a more natural intensity.

Any tips and advice from Texas cichlid owners is very welcome! Thanks!
