i have read that tank raised synodontis multipunctatus will not parisite spawn. i was wondering if there is any truth to this? has anyone bred tank raised synodontis multipunctatus,

They parasitise the spawn just fine. My F1 multies get all up in my trophs business and I can see them dropping eggs, but I've yet to have a catfish show up in a brood.

I haven't tried it myself, but I have seen many pics of it being done. I know some people strip the eggs into an egg tumbler so they can keep the cats and the cichlids.

thanks i have 29 f1 from my wild caught group and wasn't sure if it was worth keeping them to get another breeding group of them. i didn't want to hang on to them for 3 to 5 years just to find out they wouldn't spawn for me. thanks for the help
