I enjoy reading the forums and respect that the facts and opinions offered are based on experience and knowledge. I am investigating tank lighting for a 90 gallon (probably peacock/haps)I am interested in your current preference and the reasons why; initial cost, maintenance cost, replacement cost, electrical cost, etc. And of course, your most important point..why the lighting you chose works for your tank.

Thanks in advance to all who opt to reply.:thumb:

T5s seem to have a good selection of bulbs and they aren't too expensive. The bulbs last a little longer than other fluorescents, from what I'm told. I've had power compacts and the bulbs barely last a year, and harder to find replacements.

I'm using 10,000 K and actinic, just because I like the color of the fish with them.
