Tank footprint is 48"x15" and is 18" high...
I want to have a big open floor space with a stack of slate/rocks at either end.
Planned stock is....

Paracyprichromis Nigripinnis
Cyprichromis Leptosoma
Xenotilapia Bathyphilus
Altolamprologus Compressiceps "Dwarf Sumbu"

Do you think this will work and can you see any problems with it ?
Any feedback or advice appreciated :thumb:

Do the rocks all along the back wall, and don't do slate unless you stack it in such a way that it makes caves big enough for the nigripinnis. And I think you have one species too many, considering the types, for this setup. I'd go with the paracyps. The xeno's and comps are a good choice, I think. But, I have a very similar setup that's one of my favorites, so I'm a bit biased. I just think the cyps/paracyp combo will push it over the edge a bit in a 48x15. Include an actinic blue bulb in your lighting scheme for the paracyps. :thumb:

Cheers for the feedback , I appreciate any advice I can get at the moment :)
I had thought
3 xeno
6 paracyps
10 cyps
4 sumbu
small amount of shells at either side for the sumbus ?
a mixture of ocean rock and lava rock for the paracyps ?
as much open space on the bottom for the xenos ?
then the cyps using the open water column ?
