I'd like to put a group of Cyps in a 55 and let them colonize it.... I understand that cyps don't eat their fry and you can leave them right in with the breeding group. I have four 2-3 inch syn. pet. in there now and wondered if they would gobble up the cyp fry.
Anyone have any idea?

I guess your Syno pet. are realy Synodontis lucipinnis as are most Syno petricola sold in shops AKA the dwarf petricola. Same answer though. Synos and practicaly anything eat Cyp young.
Even the others in the Cyp group sometimes.

Pop up a photo mate. They are not hard to tell apart just very rairly labeled as what they are.

Its almost a convention to call lucipinnis petricola if you catch my drift.

S. petricola

S. lucipinnis
