I’m converting my 180 gallon to an all-male tank. So far, my stock includes:
Placidochromis phenochilus Tanzania
Libidochromis caeruleus yellow (2 males)
Synodontis Petricola F1 juvies (3)
Aulonocara Dragonblood (AKA Ruby Crystal)
Aulonacara Rubescens (Ruby Red Peacock)
Aulonocara stuartgranti Undu wild male (Blue Neon)
Copadichromis boyeri (Kandago)
Firefish peacock (not sure exactly what it is but its beautiful)

I’ve read the article:
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/a ... alawi2.php

I couldn’t start out with juvies as suggested in the article since I already had adult males so I’m basically putting fish together and watching to see if they get along. So far, my luck has been good.

My question is, what other fish should I try with this group?
I am limited in the ability to find adult males so I need lots of suggestions and hopefully will find some more fish.

I am open to making this a very mixed community including Malawis, Tangs and Victorians but obviously the fish must be fairly peaceful types.

In a 180G your options are endless. I would put some large haps in there like placidochomis Electra, dimidiochromis compressicep. Check out craigslist for people selling larger fish. Also some online distributors give you the option of buying larger fish as well. You can also check Aquabid.com theres people selling 3,4,5 inch fish on there all the time.

I'm only pushing a 100g, but check out my signature. You could do some multiples of like the Moorii's. Definitely add some protomelas and placidochromis species for their size, beautiful colors and great temperaments.
