Suggestions for some tank mates

I'm looking to add a bit more color to my tank but I'm not sure what I want yet. I have an 80g (48x18x24) with:

1 chocolate cichlid
6 tiger barb
5 cory
1 bristlenose pleco.

I'm thinking about maybe a rainbow or red tail shark. I know one of those would acclimate well with the others. I'm also thinking about a convict, though I'm not too sure how it would get along with the chocolate.

I'm also looking at some rams (blue/bolivian) but worry that they will beat up the barbs too much.

My joy would be to get some electric blue's or yellow lab africans but the tank needs are too different; besides the fact that they probably would own the barbs quickly.

Anyone have a good story about a successful co-hab with a similar tank?

New Guinea rainbows are kind of fun. Bright red and very active. We had one left over (the survivor) from our 29g when we upgraded to the 75g. Very active fish... I'd be willing to get a few more of them.

You could also throw in some more tiger barbs. Male green tiger barbs are really pretty fish. A shoal of 10 is fun to watch.
