In 100g 60x18x20 I have 12 Acei, 12 Yellow labs, I want to add 9 Maison Reef Zebras
http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=2290

I know that mixing yellow labs and orange zebras is bad if you want to collect fry. I want to collect fry from this tank... Can i add the chilumba zebras in and be sure that I am getting pure bred labs/acei and zebras?

would this be overstocked when they are adults? filtration is rena xp3, aquaclear 110, emperor 400, aqua tech 5-15, sponge filter, 50% wc weekly.

thanks for reading

as long as the male zebra has enough females to court and bother ( ), i'd bet you'll get pure fry from all 3 species.

you won't be overstocked. well, you will, but in a good way, as it will spread aggression and reduce the likelihood of a single fish getting picked on. the 50% weekly WC will be sufficient to counter any rising nitrates, though.

Seems like a very low chance for hybridization to me as well. I think you should stick with just 1 male zebra (with lots of females).
