Im setting up a 90 gallon (so excited :D ) and im having trouble deciding on a third group of fish to add to the tank. So far i have

7 yellow lab cichlids (2m/5fm)
7 acei (2m/5fm)

Then i dont know what to add. I found Cynotilapia Afra Gallereya Reef F1 at around 2" for 6 of them for 50 shipped and im wondering if these fish will get along with the ones mentioned along? Also will they cross breed or no?

I was also debating the idea of weather to get Cynotilapia Afra "Hai Reef" instead of the Cyno. gallereya. Which one would you do? I think the cyno. afra callereya are more white and would look nice with yellow abd blue fish. thanks guys and gals!

The Cynotilapia sp. hara (they are not an afra) would do fine with acei and labs. They are a little too close to the color of acei for me, but should not fight or crossbreed.

Here is the final stocking plan. I found a member who can hook me up with some Pseudotropheus Acei, Itungi(AKA Tanzania Black) so thats gonna be my acei.

7 yellow lab cichlids
7 Pseudotropheus Acei, Itungi(AKA Tanzania Black)
7 Cynotilapia Afra Gallereya Reef F1 "Blue Afra"

I am still considering Cynotilapia hara, Jalo Reef but i think the above combination looks better.

Here are pictures of the acei and cyno. afra gallereya

I know they get 6" but they should be okay since the tank is 18"W and i will be using a sump and live plants to keep nitrates down.

I think this sounds like a great stocklist. Nice color contrasts.

As DJRansome mentioned, the most up-to-date name for "Cynotilapia Afra Gallereya Reef 'Blue Afra'" is "Cynotilapia sp. Hara (Gallereya)"

Well all the fish you chose are mbuna...so they will squabble. I would expect the hara to be the most aggressive, but still not by much. As long as you have one male and four females I would not expect deaths or more violence than the occasional fin nip.
