So Im thinking of the follwing stocking for my new 4 foot.
Cynotilapia Afra (6)
Idotropheus Spengerae (6)
Labidichromis Caereleus (6)
Pseudotropheus Acei (6)

I know the afras are more agressive but will it be a serious problem with that number of fish? I am looking at having one male of each species? Any tips or suggestions are most welcome

Is it 48 x 12 or 48 x 18?

That would be a nice stocking for 48 x 18.

For 48 x 12 I'd lose the acei.

Yes one male and four-five females of each. Depending on which afra you choose, it may or may not be the most aggressive fish in the tank. Cobue can be timid and rusties can be assertive for example.

Sounds like you are doing your homework! :thumb:

Its a 48 x 18. I was thinking of getting cobue. I have been researching it for awhile and am slowly settling into things again. Been out of the hobby for awhile but really keen to get back into it. Thanks for the encouragement. :)

I might get 1m 4f of the Acei (only one less fish), but they get a bit big. I think it'll be a great tank!

Looks like a perfect stock list :thumb:

Acei get big so consider what toume said, but since they are more peaceful they shouldn't be a problem.
