Is it normal to for a male green texas to show a black spot on the dorsal fin? He doesn't usually display it but when I was cleaning the tank, it got scared or something and it's color lightened up significantly for a few moments and there was a dark black spot about 1/4" around plain as day on the dorsal fin. It seems like every texas I have seen has a spot, not just the female. Is this common color change for a male or could this be a sexually confused female?
Thanks :fish:

Not really familiar with Green Texas but as far as the sexing rule goes for regular Texas, Salvini, and others the Black "dot" aka Blotch is an indication of a Female so really you could have Female's instead of Males.
