Okay folks, please help. Big open sore on the back fin of one of my mbunas. Should I remove this fish and get another aquarium to put him in to treat this sore or will it be okay to try and treat it in the 75er with the other fish. Im trying to get a picture but he wont come out from behind the rocks. The sore is about as big as a piece of paper out of a hole puncher for a binder. Appreciate any help..

Are there any white cottony growths around the sore?

If you have a tank to move him to, I would do so. You can then do daily water changes and add some Melafix to the tank (unless there are white cottony growths around it, in which case you'll need antibiotics).

Does it look like a wound?

Any chance of a pic yet?
