I can't wait until mine get that big... I'm going to have to get some black sand... very sharp!

Thanks kerby. The burundi are around 4-5 inches (depending on individual fish) . I got 2 of them a month for 3 months starting in oct of last year. The mpimbwe are about 1 inch (i got them in april of this year , they were 1/2 inch fry then).

You will like a black sand and black background. It makes a huge difference. I have white sand in my 135 gallon tank and they were still nice and blue in it but not nearly as intense of a blue. I like it so much better than the white sand.

Your tanks and fish are looking good Sue. I guess Waldo is probably in the other thread cause you got him in April right. I love the black sand with these guys, they really stand out. :thumb:

Waldo has lightened up ALOT. He looks like a normal burundi now, ever so slightly darker, i have to really look hard to spot him. I can still pick him out though.
