Here are some pics of my Nics I got them at about 1.5” and did my best to try and get a male and female but I’m not quite sure. I’ve read the male will lose the stripe and just have a spot, but I’m not sure what size that usually happens at. I also read somewhere males
Have a spotting pattern on the caudal and dorsal fins that the females don’t and a pointer dorsal tip and that is definitely true for my too, but I haven’t seen much backing up that info. Is this sexual dimorphism or possibly just a region dimorphism or bred trait? I also heard females should get more color but if the fin thing is correct that’s opposite for mine. My smaller one (possibly female) is about 3.5” now and the bigger (possible male) about 4”

You do have a pair, the spotting in the fins is a very dependable trait for sexing them. They are looking very good, and hopefully will breed for you some day.
